In model one, we’ll get an overview of the property development, what it is, what it does, and what it’s purposes are. Also, we’ll focus on the economic context of property development. 

In module two, we’ll learn about different types of property and understand the difference between commercial property, family property, industrial property, and many more. 

In module three, we’ll learn about property research. We’ll understand the market context of property development and locating development within an institutional model of the property market. 

In module four, we’ll deepen our knowledge of the laws and regulations regarding property development and the real estate sector in England and Scotland. We’ll learn about differences, terminologies, applicability.

In module five, we’ll broaden our understanding of different financing options for property development. We’ll learn about sources and categories of finance and the lending criteria. 

In module six, we’ll understand the building control process, and when approval is required. Also, we’ll learn about the application and certification process. 

In module seven, we’ll get a grasp of the planning and designing process of a construction project. Also, we’ll understand the approval process for the plan. 

In module eight, we’ll get an overview of the total project management process. We’ll explore the roles of a project manager and the required knowledge and skills for performing those roles properly. 

In module nine, we’ll learn about the marketing process for a property. We’ll learn the methods of promotion and the roles of an estate agent in selling the property. Also, we’ll learn about marketing mistakes and how to avoid them.
