Organisational Security Management & Threat Awareness

In module one, we will explore the concept of security, taking a look at the security of individuals and groups. It also covers a range of security management issues, with an overview of the role of a security specialist.

In module two, we will learn about the basic security management organisation structure, deepening our knowledge of organisation principles and the changing role of modern security.

In module three, we will be trained in how to conduct a security risk assessment and perform a security audit step-by-step. It also provides essential information on executive and employee protection, and the use of close protection.

In module four, we will explore the use of information security and the functions of physical security protection. It covers key topics such as safeguards, locks and key systems, and response to risk.

In module five, we will learn about the functions of business resilience and crisis management, as well as the role of the crisis management specialist and resilience specialist. 

In module six, we will broaden our understanding of cyber security and fraud protection, taking a look at the characteristics of fraud and fraud prevention strategies.

In module seven, we will deepen our knowledge of security investigations and threat awareness. It covers how to detect threats in modern business and evidence collection.

In module eight, we will complete the course by exploring the laws and regulations surrounding security management, taking an in-depth look at the principles of the Data Protection Act and The General Data Protection Regulation .
