ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Law

4.9 (18 REVIEWS)
33 STUDENTS

Law is rarely as simple as “right” or “wrong” — and that is exactly what makes studying it interesting. The ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Law takes learners beyond introductory legal knowledge and into a more detailed exploration of the principles, systems and reasoning that shape law.

You will explore how contracts are formed, interpreted and discharged, before turning to criminal law and examining offences, liability and legal defences. Legal Methods provides the tools needed to understand sources of law, legal interpretation, the judiciary and justice systems, while Public Law introduces the UK constitution and important principles including parliamentary sovereignty, the rule of law and separation of powers.

Together, these subjects develop more than legal knowledge. They encourage you to analyse legal principles, interpret legal information and approach problems using structured legal reasoning. The qualification can therefore provide a strong academic foundation for learners looking to continue into higher-level legal study or work towards future opportunities within the wider legal sector.
