ATHE Level 3 Diploma In Law

4.9 (18 REVIEWS)
33 STUDENTS

You don’t need a seat in the Old Bailey to start getting to grips with the law. The ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Law is a 60-credit qualification designed to introduce learners to the foundations of legal study and build the academic skills needed for progression to higher-level study in law.

The qualification starts with the English legal system, giving you an understanding of how courts operate, how law is administered and the roles played by different legal professionals. You will then explore contract law, looking at how legally binding agreements are formed, what makes them valid and what happens when contractual obligations are not fulfilled.

There is also the small matter of learning to speak ‘legal’. Through Legal Terminology and Communication, you will become familiar with the language used in legal settings while developing clearer professional communication and reporting skills.

Finally, Academic and Research Skills for Law helps you develop the independent study and research techniques needed for further legal education. Across four mandatory units, you will gain 60 credits, with 600 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 360 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) — building a strong starting point for taking your legal studies to the next level.
