In module one, we will deepen our understanding of mental health, taking a look at the factors that contribute toward good mental health, the early signs of mental health issues, and mental health statistics in the UK.
In module two, we will explore different perspectives in psychology, taking a look at person-centred, behaviourist and cognitive approaches, as well as the steps to conducting psychological research.
In module three, we will gain an in-depth understanding of applied social psychology and social cognition, providing both a practical and theoretical understanding.Â
In module four, we will broaden our knowledge of perception, remembering, language, forgetting, thinking and attitudes, exploring topics such as problem-solving and artificial intelligence.Â
In module five, we will develop our knowledge of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, conduct disorder, and mental retardation, including their signs and symptoms.Â
In module six, we will explore various stress and anxiety disorders, from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to panic disorder and generalised anxiety disorder (GAD). It includes practical information on their symptoms and impact on mental health.
