This interactive module will cover the scope and stages of child development.

There are various areas in which your child needs development. You will have a concise idea about them in this module.

Erik Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development is one of the best-known theories of personality in psychology. All the five stages of development theory proposed by Erikson will be the key topic of discussion in this module.

In this module, we will explore Bowlby’s Attachment Theory and the key components of attachment, including the evolution of imprinting.

In this module, we will learn about how separation and loss affect children and adolescents, covering key topics such as grief, divorce and foster care. 

We will take a look at the influences on problematic development, parenting styles, and family problems in childhood, from child abuse to institutional upbringing.

This module will familiarise the learners with some basic cognitive development theories, as well as explore cognitive milestones in children and adolescents, age-by-age. It covers Piaget’s Theory of cognitive development stages.

In this module, we will broaden our understanding of phonological, lexical and morpho-syntactic development in children, with an overview of common learning/communication difficulties. 

In this module, we will develop our knowledge of developmental problems in infancy, from sleep problems to potty training and psychoeducation. 

In this module, we will explore common issues in childhood and adolescence, including behavioral disorders and anxiety. 

In this final module, we will explore problems in adolescence, covering drug abuse, depression, and a range of eating disorders. It includes in-depth information on causes, treatment and diagnosis.
